Some Suggested Cures Of Cancer
It isn't the most surprising news that all cooking at high
heat produces chemicals that cause cancer. Take
for instance the grilling, broiling or frying
meat, poultry, or fish creates heterocyclic amines.
However the question is that since
people have been consuming these foods for several
millennia than what really causes it. The answer
is that although most of these foods all naturally
contain potential cancer causes, they have the ability to act as cancer
fighters as well.
One of the chemicals which are very effective
against is the Phytochemicals which are consumed
by people with or without their knowledge. Phytochemicals
have been recognized as non nutritive plant chemicals
that hold within them certain disease-preventing
compounds.
Over 900 different phytochemicals
have been identified as components of food and
are today still being discovered in the different
foods which are consumed on a day to day basis.
It is estimated by many tests that there may exist
more than 100 different phytochemicals in just
one serving of a vegetable dish.
Types &
Presence Of Phytochemicals:
- ALLYL SULFIDES
These phytochemicals are present in the allium
vegetables such as garlic, onions, chives and
leeks.
- LYCOPENE
These chemicals occur normally in the Solanaceous
vegetables such as tomatoes and peppers. Deposited
in a number of body tissues, lycopene protects
against heart disease, certain cancers, and
a multitude of other disorders.
- GINGEROLS & FLAVONOIDS
These two phytochemicals are present in the
herbs and spices like ginger, mint, rosemary,
thyme etc.
- MONOTERPENES (LIMONENE)
& CAROTENOIDS
Citrus fruits like oranges, grapes and grapefruits
consist of these Phytochemicals.
- SILYMARIN
This phytochemical is found in the Compositae
plants (artichoke).
Conclusion
Thus, these phytochemicals have demonstrated their
tremendous prevention in regard to treatment and
prevention of cancer. It is advised that for health
purposes, maximum amount of phytochemicals be consumed
so that the person is not vulnerable to cancer and several other diseases. |
