Tadalafil: Cialis Doses, Side Effects
Cialis
or Tadalafil is proving to be more effective than
Viagra in terms of effectiveness in treating erectile
dysnfunction and Cialis has less side effects.
The most often taken dose
of Cialis for male impotence
is 10 mg. it is highly recommended that the patients
should not take more than one dose a day. The
dose is to be taken at least 30 to 60 minutes
before getting involved in sexual activity. It
is found that the duration of its action may last
for up to 36 hours.
If the patients
do not find the dose of 10 mg of Cialis effective for sexual dysfunctions then they
can take the dose of 20 mg. Those men with erection
problems that are suffering from renal insufficiency
are advised to keep their dose of Cialis to safe
side by taking 5 mg of tablet.
The side effects
of Cialis are few. However, taking Cialis may
cause hypoactive sexual desire.
It can be dangerous
if it is taken in combination with some other
drugs for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
A significant drop in the blood pressure of the
patient will occur if cialis will be taken in
combination with 1-adrenergic blockers such as
prazosin (Minipress), doxazosin (Cardura), terazosin
(Hytrin).
It is found that 11 to 15 percent of the patients
that use Cialis suffer from headache as the side
effect of the drug. About 8 to 10 percent of the
patients suffer from dyspepsia as the side effect
of Cialis.
5 to 6 percent of the patients that are using
Cialis have complained about the beginning of
back pain 12 to 14 hours after they had taken
the dose and that pain had lasted for up to 48
hours where as only 3 percent of the patients
that were receiving placebo had the same side
effect.
Less than 0.1 percent
of patients that are using Cialis for their erectile
dysfunction have complained about the change in
color vision where as the patients that are using
sildenafil have complained more about the change
in color vision.
Cialis is quite
different from Viagra or
sildenafil citrate due to its affinity for
PDE6 and 11. That is why fewer complains were
reported for ocular effects and more complains
were reported for back pain with Cialis as compared
to with sildenafil. |
