Lipitor and it's Functions
Lipitor
should not be consumed without a physician’s
advice if one has liver disease.
Both Lipitor and Alcohol can damage
the human liver. Since Alcohol is known to damage
liver tissue its effectiveness in this sense may
be worsened.
Along with Lipitor’s effect
because it acts on fatty substances, it can be
severely damaging to the liver. Hence caution
is advised because the liver is most likely to
be strained when both substances act on it.
The amount of alcohol one consumes
should be revealed to the doctor, especially if
one has liver disease. Through the amount of alcohol
that a person consumes, a doctor can determine
if that person can proceed with Lipitor usage.
Lipitor should not be taken if one
is pregnant, breast-feeding or planning to have
child. This is because it is suspected that Lipitor
can travel throughout all parts of the body. Breast-feeding
may be a particular problem as Lipitor can get
mixed in the mother’s milk. This would be
a risk for a baby, and would affect a child in
any way.
In the event of unusual muscle pain
and tenderness, consult a doctor immediately.
Lipitor is known to affect some people in this
way. Perhaps the dosage would have to be re-adjusted
or Lipitor usage might have to be discontinued.
In some cases doctors may ask a
user to discontinue Lipitor usage until they are
fit to consume it again. In addition to this,
it must be said that doctors may even ask users
to discontinue Lipitor use indefinitely.
In addition to weakness in the muscles
being a cause for alarm, one should also immediately
consult a doctor when symptoms of flu are experienced
or yellowing of the skin and eyes. |
