Osteoporosis - A Deadly Disease
Amongst the various bone disorders, the most dangerous and deadly
disease is osteoporosis, which is more common
in women as compared to men.
However, this generally occurs after the age
of 40. The most threatening aspect of this disease
is the consequences, which includes the breaking
of the bones no matter where they are located.
Either it is the hipbone, wrist bone or the spine
bone; it basically gets thin and weakens resulting
into collapse of the joint and bone.
Therefore, this is a very serious bone disorder,
which demands strong care towards the bones and
immediate care once the symptoms are identified.
However, during osteoporosis, the bones ultimately
break once they become weak.
On the other hand, usually this deadly disease
affects the hipbones and the wrist bone as well
as the vertebrae in the middle of the back.

collapse of any of these joints or bones will
lead a person to be handicap. For instance, when
the osteoporosis is resulted due to the breaking

upper spine.
However, this condition is recognized as a state
of deformity where there are some patients of
osteoporosis that do not experience deformity
but loose their height due to the collapse of
the backbone. At the same time, those suffering
from hip fractures due to osteoporosis, they become
immobile and get hospitalize for the rest of their
life.

Moreover, generally people do not identify the
common symptoms of osteoporosis. However, amongst
the various symptoms of osteoporosis include sudden
pain in the back or backbone with out any specific
reason.
At the same time, various patients suffer strong
pain in any of their joints and bones like their
hips, ribs, back or wrist as a result of some
accident. The most threatening aspect of such
accidents is the everlasting affect that does
not remove the pain in the effected area.
Consequently that joint or bone breaks or collapse
which identifies the state of osteoporosis. Therefore,
even in small accidents or falls, one should not
ignore the continuous pain and consult a good
doctor to identify any threat of osteoporosis.
On the other hand, various individual suffer
from osteoporosis that neither suffered from any
accident or fall but experience sudden pain in
their back or other joints and bones, which with
the passage of time either breaks or collapse.

fractures with out any previous symptom of pain.
Therefore, from the birth of the child till the
over all growing process and even after being
an adult one should focus on a healthy and balance
diet with a constant mild physical exercise to
keep the bones and joints strong as well as into
working condition.
As far as the causes of osteoporosis are concerned,
there is not one single cause. Though the genetic
trend in the family possessing osteoporosis increases
the risk of the deadly disease but many other
factors also causes this bone disorder.
For instance, some people are not very active
and are lazy, consequently their bones and joints
are not in a working condition, which may result
to osteoporosis.
Basically human bones and joints are created
for some specific function in the body, where
exercise keeps them strong and active so if no
exercise of these joints and bones they will lose
their strength and become weak resulting to osteoporosis.
Similarly some people may have the tendency to
develop osteoporosis just as a natural course
as they get older. Moreover, many people leading
to active hormonal changes are also at a risk
to osteoporosis.
Actually hormones are responsible for various
functions in the body and are secreted by the
body. Therefore, various hormonal changes stop
the natural and original functioning in the body,
which leads to osteoporosis.
On the other hand various eating habits and diet
problems also results into osteoporosis. For instance,
people who do not care to eat a balance diet and
their body does not get sufficient food intake
that are rich sources of calcium, phosphorous
and vitamin D will definitely lead to one or another
bone disorder, as these three elements are most
important for keeping the bones strong.
At the same time, the abnormal caffeine intake
in the body either in the form of alcohol or coffee
or tea or via smoking also leads to osteoporosis.
Similarly various medicines leave immense side
effects like losing the capacity to absorb calcium
in the body, which ultimately makes the bones
weak resulting into osteoporosis.
Therefore, one should keep the body active by
mild and continuous exercises that helps the bones
into constant activity leaving them strong as
well as adopting a balance diet for ever to avoid
bone disorders like the deadly disease of osteoporosis. |
