Warts: How To Remove Them
There
are many ways to treat warts there are home
treatments and medications which you can apply
to the warts. If the warts do not go by these
methods then the doctors help is required. To
treat the warts at home one must dip their toes
in hot water for fifteen twenty minutes and
then rub gently with apple cider vinegar; applying
of the vinegar should be done with a cotton
ball. The feet should be wiped dry, next take
an aspirin and dissolve it with a drop of water
and apply it to the wart, bandage the infected
area securely. The procedure should be repeated
twice daily. There are many other home remedies
that are out there and one can try all the different
methods. Although these methods are good and
its effectiveness can be proven. There would
be times when the warts simply do not disappear.
This is the time when you have to get a doctor
to get them out. There are numerous ways that
warts can be taken out but we will be discussing
some of these types in this article.
Stages Of Treatment For Warts
The first procedure is called cryosurgery. This
is a procedure that causes the least amount
of pain and is done in two basic steps. The
first steps requires you to be actively involved
in, this is the preparation stage one in which
you have to get ready for the removal of the
warts. In the second stage the warts are frozen;
this stage is performed by a doctor and should
not be tried at home.
For the preparation period one has to keep
the wart infected are completely clean by washing
it with soap and water and applying salicylic
acid gel on the wart. The gel should be covered
with a salicylic acid pad; the pad should be
cut bigger than the wart so that the whole wart
is covered. The process should be repeated every
day whenever the pad is taken off; preferably
to be repeated twice in a day. Ask your doctor
to name some brands for the salicylic acid gel
& salicylic acid pad which you can use.
If the infected area starts to turn uncomfortable
and red stop using the gel and the pad and consult
the doctor.
The cryosurgery process will start approximately
two weeks of the home preparations. If the instructions
were followed properly the wart would have become
fluffy and the skin around the wart will become
white. The process of cryosurgery is normally
painless but can be very comfortable. The doctor
takes an instrument to freeze the area. This
process feels like an ice cube has been stuck
to your skin. A burning sensation is felt while
the skin is thawing out. While the wound is
being healed you can enjoy most of your usual
activities such as showering and taking your
regular baths. The process in turn leaves no
scars but the area of skin where treatment has
been done turns out to be lighter than the other
areas.
Besides this there are many other treatments
that are applied to the infected area procedures
such as cantharidin, minor surgery, laser surgery.
These are briefly described below in brief detail.
Cantharidin this is a substance that comes
from the blistering beetle. This is mixed with
other chemicals. The mixture is then applied
over the wart and then covered with a bandage.
The application of this mixture is painless
but it helps in lifting the wart of; this in
turn helps the doctor to take out the dead wart.
Alternate Cure For Warts
Minor surgery: This procedure usually takes
place when other therapies have failed. This
involves of the usage of an electric needle
for the process called electrodessication and
curettage. The anesthetic that is given before
the surgery is quite painful and the operation
mat leave a scar on your body.
laser surgery: this is the last of the last
options for two basic reasons one that is expensive
and the second is that it leaves scars on the
skin. This stage is saved for those warts that
are really very, very tough to get rid off.
