Recognizing and Solving Stress

Whenever you feel stressed, take a break and try to work out the reasons for stress. Don’t ignore them. If your stress can be relieved by talking to some one, talk to your senior or your colleague.

Try to Change what you Can

Try to change the stress causing factors if you can. For e.g. if you are getting stressed sitting with someone with whom you don’t feel comfortable, change your place.  If it is possible, shorten the exposure to stress and try to change what you can. Try new ways and methods to see if they work.

Reduce Intensity of Emotions

Try to control the amount of stress you feel. Try to cope with it as something that can be easily handled. Do not see the danger or the stress causing factor in exaggerated terms. Work at adopting ways to simplify things. Try to control your emotions.  Do not let others stress or overpower you.

Try to Meet Deadlines

Try to finish your work on time and anticipate delays. Doing things takes times and hurdles also crop up. Keep these factor and delay and errors in mind before starting a new assignment.
