These vitamins include vitamin B2, B3, B5, choline, a part of vitamin B complex and Inositol, also a part of vitamin B complex as well as vitamin C.

  • Vitamin B2 - Also known as riboflavin vitamin B2 ensures that your thyroid gland functions normally and keeps an eye on your metabolic system helping in better digestion of food.  Vitamin B2 can be obtained from milk, liver and kidney, almonds, hard cheese, eggs and leafy green vegetable.
  • Vitamin B3 – It is also known as niacin and helps in carrying out normal thyroid functions and hormone production. Wheat bran, liver, tuna, turkey, chicken, meat, eggs, oats, barley, wheat flakes, cheese, dried fruits and brown rice are good sources of vitamin B3.
  • Vitamin B5 - Also called Pantothenic Acid, vitamin B5 greatly assists the process of energy generation. Good food sources of Vitamin B5 include liver and kidney, meat, poultry, nuts, wheat flakes, wheat bran, wheat germ, eggs, barley, beans, wholegrain bread and green vegetables.
  • Vitamin B6 or Pyridoxine aids in regulating the production of thyroid hormone and ensures the smooth functioning of metabolism system. Sources of Vitamin B6 are wheat bran, wheat germ, oats, poultry, beef, avocado, bananas, brown rice, cabbage, dried fruit, molasses and eggs.
  • Choline is required by the body for ensuring efficient metabolism of fat. Inadequacy of choline in the body might block the fat in liver. Good sources of choline include lecithin, beef liver, beef heart, egg yolks, wheat germ, cauliflower, cucumber and peanuts.
  • Inositol helps choline in ensuring smooth fat metabolism system. Sources of inositol include lecithin, beef heart, beef liver, wheat germ, soy, eggs, citrus fruits, wholegrain and nuts.
  • Vitamin C is very important as it aids the process of converting glucose into energy. The best sources of vitamin C include blackcurrants, broccoli, green peppers, kiwi fruits, Brussels sprouts, lemons, oranges, strawberries and cabbage.

Vitamins and vitamin supplements play a very crucial role in preventing obesity and weight loss. If these above mentioned vitamins or vitamins supplements are taken as advised, it is possible to reduce obesity and lose weight.
